Faridkot, Punjab (September 06, 2014): As per information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), a Faridkot court has issued notice to the state government on a bail application moved by Sikh preacher Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal.
As per information, on September 04, the court of additional sessions judge Karnail Singh issued the notice to the state government on bail plea of Baba Baljit Singh and adjourned the the matter till next hearing on September 11. The bail application of two Sikhs arrested with Baba Daduwal will also be heard on the same day.

It may be recalled that the Police had arrested Baba Daduwal on August 21 from Gurdwara Jandalisar Sahib at Kot Shamir village in Bathinda in a five years old case registered against him at Bajakhana. The police registered another case against under the Arms Act.
Later, Mansa police had taken him on transit remand in a three years old case. Mansa police also registered another case against him under the Arms Act.
Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal’s counsel Kulinder Singh told the court that weapons shown to have recovered from Gurdwara Sahib are licensed.
There were reports that Baba Baljit Singh has resigned from the membership of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (ad hoc), however the reports could not be confirmed from any of the reliable sources, as HSGMC leaders, family members and supporters of Baba Daduwal have already rejected such reports as baseless.
