New Book “Kaurnama” Receives Global Acclaim

New York/Frankfurt: The recently unveiled book “Kaurnama: Kharkoo Sangharsh Dian Shaheed Bibian Dee Gatha” has been met with resounding acclaim worldwide. Authored by Baljinder Singh Kotbhara under the guidance of Panth Sewak Bhai Daljit Singh, the book sheds light on the history of Shaheed Sikh women who made ultimate sacrifices during the 1980s-1990s Sikh freedom movement.

Originally unveiled during a Shaheedi Samagam in Punjab, held in memory of Shaheed Bhai Paramjit Singh Panjwar on May 6th at village Panjwar (Tarn Taran), the book has now reached international shores, captivating audiences in the United States of America, Canada, and Germany.

In the United States, the book was launched in two events held at New York and Seattle during Shaheedi Samagams on May 12th, hosted at local Sikh Gurdwara Sahibs. The unveiling ceremonies in the U.S. witnessed a significant turnout, reflecting the profound interest and appreciation for the documented accounts of Sikh female martyrs.

Similarly, in Canada, the book found resonance within Sikh communities during similar samagams held at Windsor and Brampton. These events provided platforms for reflection and remembrance, honoring the legacy of the courageous women who sacrificed their lives for justice and freedom.

Across the Atlantic, in Germany, Sikh personalities gathered at the Gurdwara Sikh Center, Frankfurt, during a Shaheedi Samagam to release the book. The ceremony was marked by reverence and solemnity, underscoring the global significance of preserving and commemorating the invaluable contributions of Sikh women in the struggle for justice.
