Amb Sahib, Mohali (December 21, 2013): Bandi Singh Rihai Morcha (Amb Sahib) has is getting support of masses from Punjab and adjoining states of Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi. The morcha is an initiative of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, a Haryana based Sikh who is on fast unto death for last 38 days seeking permanent release of six Sikh political prisoners languishing in various Indian jails despite serving the terms of their sentences.

Reports from across the Punjab suggest that more and more people are joining the cause. On 18 December, 2013 demonstrations were organized in all district head-quarters in Punjab seeking of concerned prisoners.

Besides the mood of masses, the political scenario has also witnessed a positive change in last two-three days. One of the concerned Sikh prisoners has already been released on parole (temporary release from prison) while the news about parole of three Sikhs in Burrail jail is expected any time.

Marches from various parts of Punjab are reaching Gurdwara Amb Sahib (Mohali) the site of Bandi Singhs Riahi Morcha.

A large march was organized in Mohali today in support of the morcha, where as marches from Patiala, Ahmedgarh, Ludhaina and Ambala reached Gurdwara Amb Shaib in last two days.

Organizers of the morcha who were otherwise concerned about the deteriorating health of Gurbaksh Singh Khasla have expressed satisfaction over response of the Sikh sangat.
