Bargari, Faridkot: Tens of thousand of Sikhs today attended a gathering at Bargari village as part of ongoing ‘Bargari Morcha’ seeking action in Beadbi cases, Saka Behbal Kalan case and release of Sikh political prisoners who have completed minimum mandatory terms of their sentences.
All eyes were on today’s gathering at Bargari in wake of political rallies called by Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) and Congress party at Patiala and Lambi respectively.
Sikh sangat from different parts of Punjab and adjoining states reached at Bargari today and the event was successful in terms of gathering.
Today’s event at Bargari was supported by Sukhpal Singh Khaira led rebel section of the Aam Aadmi Party and Bains Brothers led Lok Insaaf Party besides various other organisations.
Addressing the gathering, Bhai Dhian Singh Mand, who is leading the Bargari Morcha said that he had started this struggle after winning it and the governments will have to fulfil the demands of the struggle in any case.
While mentioning Narendra Modi, Parkash Singh Badal and Amarinder Singh he said that those enjoying political power may be thinking that they could do away with the demands of the morcha but one day they will have to bow before the struggle and arrest the culprits of Beadbi cases and Behbal Kalan police firing and release the concerned Sikh political prisoners.
He said that Badals were making a false cry that there was threat to communal or Hindu-Sikh harmony in the Punjab. ‘There is no threat to any Muslim, Christian, Hindu or even a Sikh in Punjab” he said while adding that actually those making false cry of threat to “aman-shanti” (law and order) or “sadbhawna” (communal harmony) are under threat politically.
He said that the morcha is getting support from all sections and elected Hindu representatives have participated in the morcha.
Bhai Dhian Singh Mand called upon youth from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi to form 21 member local committees named after Bargari Morcha under the guidance of Akal Takht Sahib.
He said that situation is turning towards such a stage where parties established from past seventy years will fall and no body could stop Sikhs from gaining control over the SGPC and form the government, provided that the Sikh sections overcome their internal conflicts.
He called upon the Sikh sangat to participate in 14 October Shaheedi Samagam to be held in the memory of Bhai Gurjeet Singh Sarawan and Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh Niamiwala who were killed by Punjab police at Behbal Kalan village on 14 October 2015.
Earlier in the day AAP’s rebel section and Bain Brothers held a gathering at Kotkapura and reached at Bargari in form of ‘Insaaf March’. Kanwar Sandhu, AAP’s rebel MLA from Kharar said that the gathering in bargari was significant and he did not see such a big gathering of people in past many years.
