Notably, Punjab police have been holding special check-posts at various places, including the highways, across the state.

Whereas wearing of COVID-19 mask is recommended at all public places, the police across the state is collecting fines from even single person travelling in his/her private car.

“It is necessary to wear mask all the times when you are out of your house. It does not matter that you are travelling alone in your private vehicle”, a police official posted at a Naka near Phillaur told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN).
