DSGMC Chief PS Sarna appeal to Sonia for clemency to Prof. Bhullar

Ludhiana (May 28, 2011): Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee president Paramjit Singh Sarna has written to United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi to get Prof Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar’s death sentence commuted by the government. The has followed the rejection of his constitutional review petition, also called the mercy petition, by the President of India.
In a letter to her, Sarna has argued that in the India’s national interest and that “this will be a gesture of goodwill to the entire Sikh community”.
