Heavy police barricading around Hassanpur; Sangharsh committee members to meet Ludhiana administration

Mullanpur Dakha: Ludhiana police seems to have hardened it’s stance on ongoing struggle of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa. Tensions gripped the area today as the police blocked the roads leading to Village Hasanpur. Sources said that police is not allowing anyone to visit Bapu Surat Singh’s house.

Bandi Singhs Riahi Sangharsh Committee member Jasvir Singh Khandoor told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that there was heavy police deployment at and around Bapu Surat Singh’s village and the police has blocked all the roads leading to village Hassanpur.

“Police is not allowing anyone to visit Hassanpur. Even Bibi Navneet Kaur wife of Sikh political prisoner Prof. Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar was stopped by the police and she was not allowed to visit Hasanpur to meet Bapu Surat Singh”, said Jasvir Singh.

He said that the police and civil administration of Ludhiana have invited the Sangarsh Committee members to hold a meeting at civil secretariat Ludhaina. The meeting will take place after 2 p.m.

Sangharsh Committee members criticised the Punjab government for unleashing suppressive tactics to snub the struggle for release of Sikh Political prisoners.
