Tarn Taran: A new book titled Kaurnama-2, dedicated to the heroic tales of Shaheed (martyred) Sikh women from the Sikh resistance movement, was released today (12 July 2025) at the historic Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan in village Panjwar.

The book, authored by researcher and writer Baljinder Singh Kotbhara and published by Bibekgarh Publications, was presented by women relatives of martyrs, including Bibi Surjit Kaur, mother of Shaheed Bhai Baljinder Singh Raju, and Bibi Balwinder Kaur, sister of Shaheed Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda.
This work is the brainchild of Shaheed Bhai Paramjit Singh Panjwar, whose vision is now being carried forward under the mentorship of Panth Sewak Bhai Daljit Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhai Daljit Singh emphasized the ongoing efforts to preserve the history of the Sikh militant movement. He noted that this is the time to document the individual sacrifices and contributions of each Sikh man and woman who laid down their lives. He further clarified that these sacrifices were made for the establishment of Khalistan, not for seeking ministerial positions via parliamentary politics.

Bhai Hardeep Singh Mehraj also spoke, stressing the need to preserve the true history of the Sikh struggle, which the state has long tried to erase or distort. He appealed to the youth to draw inspiration from this history.
Dal Khalsa acting president Bhai Paramjit Singh Mand condemned attempts to equate the Sikh militant movement with gangsterism, asserting that the martyrs’ path was never aligned with criminality and never will be.
The book was released during a commemorative event marking the martyrdom of Shaheed Bhai Labh Singh Panjwar. After the conclusion of Akhand Path and Kirtan, dhadi and kavishri jathas inspired the sangat by reciting ballads and verses about the martyrs. Many family members of fallen Sikh fighters were also honored.
A copy of Bhai Narain Singh Chaura’s book Khalistan Virudh Saazish (The Conspiracy Against Khalistan) was presented to Bhai Rajeshwar Singh, son of Shaheed Bhai Labh Singh.

Another significant release on this occasion was the Punjabi translation of Idea of Sikh State, rendered by Gurpal Singh and published by Nishan Publications, Sangrur.
Among the prominent attendees were Bibi Davinder Kaur (sister of Shaheed Bhai Labh Singh Panjwar), Bhai Daljit Singh Panjwar, Bibi Amrit Kaur, Bibi Balwinder Kaur (sister of Shaheed Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda), Bhau Baldev Singh Panjwar, Jasvir Singh Khadoor, Bhai Satnam Singh Khanda, Satnam Singh Jhanjian, Bhai Rajinder Singh Mughalwal, sevaks of Panthic Jatha Malwa and Majha, Bhai Parmjeet Singh Maluwal, author Bhai Sarbjit Singh Ghumman, and Tarseem Singh Jhandukhera from Waaris Punjab De. The stage proceedings were efficiently managed by Bhai Ram Singh.
