Punjab is currently facing a huge water crisis. Where the underground water in Punjab is running out, the remaining underground water is being polluted through Tika borewell. An analysis of last year’s flood data released by BBMB shows that these floods could have been prevented or their impact could have been reduced. Along with the problem of groundwater depletion, groundwater pollution and unnatural floods, monsoon disturbances and worsening weather conditions are facing Punjab in the near future.
