New Delhi: Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi), led by former Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee president Paramjeet Singh Sarna, held a pathic convention in Delhi on Oct. 11, 2015. The contention was attended by representatives of various Sikh organisations and Sikh personalities.
According to a written press release by SAD (Delhi), three resolutions were passed during this conventions.
In first resolution an appeal was issued to all the panthic organisations to hold persons holding the position of Sikh Jatehdars for hurting the Sikh hearts by announced so-called pardon for Dera Sauda Sirsa chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim.
In second resolution an appeal was issued to the Sikh people to boycott the Badal family for paying out in the hands of Hindutva forces and harming the Sikh interests.
In third resolution the participants called upon the Sikh panth to hold “Sarbat Khalsa” to appoint new Takhat Jatehdars and lay down norms for appointment and work conditions of Takhat jathedars. The resolution says that the gathering (termed as Sarbat Khalsa) should be called on such a place where it it could be held without any disturbance from the Badal family.
