Jalandhar, Punjab: A portrait of Sikh martyr and great Sikh of 20th Century, Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, was installed at Gurdwara Novin Patshahi at Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar (Jalandhar) on Friday (Oct. 24).
A brief ceremony was held on the occasion of installing the portrait. Damdami Taksal chief Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma, Bhai Ishar Singh (son of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale) also attended the function.
Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma said that SGPC had declared to built a “Shaheed Gallery” (Martyrs’ Gallery) at Darbar Sahib complex in Amritsar, but had not made any efforts in this regard. He said that Shaheed Galleries honoring Sikh martyrs should come up in most Gurdwaras.
