SGAD College (Khadur Sahib) conducts career guidance and placement seminar

Khadur Sahib, Punjab (November 19, 2013): According to information sent the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) by Surjeet Singh, PRO Nishan-e-Sikhi, Sri Guru Angad Dev (SGAD) College managed under Baba Sewa Singh Kaar Sewa Wale, organized a special seminar on career guidance and placement, during which Prof. Gulgaon Singh, placement coordinator of HMV College Jalandhar, disseminated important information to the students on the subject.
He put light on job opportunities available according to one’s academic qualification and taught various techniques to be prepared oneself systematically for getting employment.

He said, “The students belong to rural area of the state, are intelligent very much but we are unable to provide them proper guidance. So, need is to provide them proper guidance.”
“At present, there is much employment scope both in public and private sector, especially very much in later. So, students should be eligible themselves as per requirements of private companies.”
His mother and noted Punjabi writer Dr. Jagdish Kaur Wadia who was accompanying him, also shared her views with the students on moral values and idealistic way of life.
Principal Dr. Surinder Bangar said, “To impart higher study is not sole motive of the college, but also get its students placed on good positions. Keeping in view the job aspect, the seminar is conducted.
