Sikh Political Prisoner Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar released on 21 days parole

Amritsar: Sikh Political Prisoner Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar was released on 21 days parole yesterday. This is second parole granted to Prof. Davinderpal Singh who is imprisoned in India since 1995. Prof. Bhullar was hospitalised by Amritsar jail authorities at psychiatry ward of a government hospital in Amritsar.

Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur, who maintains the list of Sikh Political Prisoners, told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that Prof. Bhullar was eligible to seek 21 days parole as per prevalent rules and laws and he had applied for parole that was cleared yesterday.He said that Prof. Bhullar’s case was a fit case for premature release and the concerned authorities must consider his case for premature release.
