Amritsar, Punjab (January 15, 2013): All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) President Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad has approached Sikh Gurudwara Judicial Commission and Akal Takhat Sahib against Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and it's president Avtar Singh Makkar for their decision to participate in Kumbh Mela, a Hindu festival.
Chandigarh, Punjab/India (January 15, 2013): According to media reprots Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) member Hardeep Singh on January 14, 2013 criticised the participation of the committee and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) patron, chief minister Parkash Singh Badal in the Kumbh Mela, saying it was against the Sikh tenets.
