Some known faces of the Aam Aadmi Party and the ruling Shiromani AkalI Dal (Badal) are set to join the Congress party.

Punjabi singer Balkar Sidhu whose ticket was cancelled by Aam Aadmi Party in wake of his alleged involvement in a human trafficking has now been leveling allegations of Land grab against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Baljinder Kaur.
Punjabi singer, Balkar Sidhu, who had rebelled against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)'s decision to replace him with Prof. Baljinder Kaur for Talwandi Sabo by-polls, has been ousted from the Aam Aadmi Party by disciplinary committee. The committee had unanimously cancelled primary membership of Balkar Sidhu along with Sandeep Handa of Faridkot who had been supporting Balkar in his rebellion from AAP.

A day after singer-turned-politician Balkar Sidhu filed his nomination papers as Independent candidate for the Talwandi Sabho assembly bye-election after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) cancelled his ticket, party MP from Sangrur Lok Sabha seat Bhagwant Mann said on August 04 that he would do his best to convince Balkar Sidhu to withdraw his candidature.
