Beadbi Case

During a recent seminar, Professor Jagmohan Singh, Director of the Sikh Collective and Chief Editor of World Sikh News, shared his views on a fundamental flaw in how the community handles Sikh issues
A shocking incident of beadbi (sacrilege) was reported from Kaulpur village in Vijaypur tehsil of Jammu’s Samba district, where a man set fire to five sacred Saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji during the intervening night of October 7 and 8, around 1 a.m.
The sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib Ji has remained a major political issue in Punjab since the 2015 Bargari incident, which was followed by the Behbal Kalan police firing and a series of other consequential events that continue to shape Punjab's political landscape.
