An annual Gurmat Samagam was held on 14 September 2025 at the historic Gurdwara Shikar Ghat Sahib, Patshahi Chhevin, in Village Dallewal near Goraya, in memory of Bhai Satpal Singh Ji Dallewal, a visionary young Sikh leader from Doaba.
Sikh leader Bhai Kulvir Singh Barapind's farther Bapu Ajit Singh passed away yesterday. He was 90 years old and was living at village Barapind near Phagwara.

Sikh leaders Bhai Harcharanjeet Singh Dhammi and Bhai Kulvir Singh Barapind today termed the constitution of the committee by Jathedars to look into the pre-scripted drama to exonerate Dera sacha Sauda chief Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh as a diversionary tactic to defuse anger and confuse the awakened Sikhs in their principled fight against faulty decisions by those occupying the highest offices of community.
Slamming the Indian media for projecting the pardon row (socalled pardon to dera Sauda Sirsa chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim by Five Singh Sahibs) in a wrong way, Sikh leaders Bhai Harcharanjeet Singh Dhami and Bhai Kulvir Singh Barapind said “[g]oing by the media reports, it’s made to understand that only hardliners are opposing the Takht decision, leaving the impression as if (so-termed) moderates were in favour.
Stating that the pardon drama was concocted by Badals and executed by Five Takhat jathedar's, the Dal Khalsa and Akali Dal Panch Pardani (ADPP) today rejected the decision to exonerate pseudo-baba Gurmit Ram Rahim for his blasphemous act in 2007.
Leaders of Dal Khalsa and Akali Dal Panch Pardhani today strongly condemned Patiala court order summoning Guru Granth Sahib in a land disputed case.
Taking a dig at the SGPC for its meek response to this Panthic demand, Sikh groups namely Dal Khalsa, SAD (Amritsar) and Panch Pardhani has urged the Jathedar of Akal Takht, Gaini Gurbachan Singh to direct the SGPC to install the portrait of Bhai Dilawar Singh in the Sikh Central Museum.
