Chandigarh/ Punjab (December 12, 2013): It is learnt that Day and Night News (DNN), a multilingual news channel, has aired a special news story titled "Sangharsh Di Gatha" on Bhai Gurbaksh Singh's struggle for the release of Sikh political prisoners who have completed the terms of their sentences.
A TV serial produced and anchored by Kanwar Sandhu former Managing Editor of Chandigarh-based ‘Day & Night’ T.V. channel on the Indian Army attack on Golden Temple, Amritsar in June 1984 largely questions the way of conducting the Operation but slips the basic politics that led to the storming of the holiest place of the Sikhs. And the serial which, obliviously, finds fault with Army general’s military strategy does not unravel why the Indian State chose to suppress the political dissent of a minority with mammoth use of the force knowing well the Operation would entail serious repercussions.
Chandigarh (August 03, 2013): Journalist Kanwar Sandhu, managing director of Day and Night News, addressed the viewers on the TV channel and made a declaration that Day and Night News shall remain accessible on Cable networks in Himachal and Haryana. He declared that the operations of DNN shall be cut down and he shall not be part of this project from 1 August, 2013.
Chandigarh (August 03, 2013): It is learnt that on August 01, 2013 the Day and Night News (DNN) channel was called off from the Direct to Home (DTH) services. It may be recalled that soon after it's inauguration the channel was removed from the Cable TV network in Punjab because of political reasons.

Chandigarh, Punjab (July 08, 2013): It is learnt that a private news channel, that has been extensively covering the issue of disclosures made by Punjab cop Surjit Singh (Sub-Inspector), was able to get reaction of Punjab's cheif minister Parkash Singh Badal on the issue.
Chandigarh/ Punjab (July 08, 2013): According to a news reported by the Day and Night News (DNN) suspended Punjab cop Surjit Singh (Sub-Inspector) has stated that he had actively participated in four encounters first. In these encounters Sheetal Singh Mattewal, Deputy Chief of Dashmesh Regiment of Khalistan and seven others were killed".
