Sikh Body Wants Indian Government to Reopen Kartarpur Sahib Corridor

The Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) has demanded that the government of India should reopen Kartarpur Sahib corridor for yatris. The corridor which connects Kartarpur Sahib in Narowal district of West Punjab with Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur district of East Punjab was opened in November last year to allow Sikhs from eastren side to visit the sacred place of Kartarpur Sahib, once inhabited by Guru Nanak Ji.

Reports in Pakistani media say that Government of Pakistan has sent final draft of the proposed bilateral agreement on Kartarpur Sahib Corridor to the Government of India which is being built between East and West Punjab.
