November 1984 Memorial

New Delhi, India (September 04, 2014): Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has expressed hope that it would be granted go ahead to construct a memorial for the victims of the Sikh Genocide 1984. Earlier the proposal of the memorial was rejected by the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
New Delhi, India (October 24, 2013): It is learnt from certain media reports that Jatinder Singh Siyali has withdrawn his petition from the Delhi High Court that had alleged that the Akal Takht Jathedar, SGPC President besides some leaders of Punjab’s ruling party Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) had attempted interfere of court process of Delhi High Court.

New Delhi, India (October 12, 2013): The political scuffle between Manjit Singh GK (Current head of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee) and Paramjit Singh Sarna (former head of DSGMC) has started taking dangerous turn. As per information Paramjit Singh Sarna has filed a petition in an Indian court and it is believed that such a petition pretends challenge the authority of the Jathedar of Akal Takht. The petition was taken up by the Delhi High Court on October 08 and the matter was adjourned for October 23.
Amritsar, Punjab (July 26, 2013): It is learnt that Jathedars of Sikh Takhts have held former Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) chief Paramjit Singh Sarna guilty of creating hindrance in construction of Sikh genocide 1984 memorial in Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib in Delhi.
Amritsar, Punjab (July 26, 2013): A meeting of five Singh Sahibs, jathedars of Sikh Takhts, is going to be held today at Sri Amritsar. The meeting is expected to discuss the issues concerning the Sikhs that recently surfaced.

Amritsar, Punjab (July 21, 2013): As per certain media reports Paramjit Singh Sarna, former president of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), could face religious action for creating hurdles in the construction of memorial to 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib complex in Delhi.
Amritsar/ Chandigarh (June 16, 2013): According to certain media reports a former secretary of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Manjit Singh Calcutta has also raised objections against the construction of the Sikh Genocide 1984 memorial inside the historic Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib Complex in New Delhi.
Amritsar/ Chandigarh (June 16, 2013): According to certain media reports a former secretary of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Manjit Singh Calcutta has also raised objections against the construction of the Sikh Genocide 1984 memorial inside the historic Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib Complex in New Delhi.
