As an annual practise the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) has began Akhand Paath of Guru Granth Sahib Ji near Akal Takht Sahib in the memory of Bhai Beant Singh, which will conclude on October 31.

Chandigarh (October 28, 2013): According to information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), Sikh political leader Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu’s bail petition was allowed by Punjab and Haryana High Court after extensive arguments on October 28, 2013. Bhai Daljit Singh was booked by the Punjab police under notorious law called “Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act” for political reasons.
