Media War against Sikhs – Indian media’s falsehood exposed once again

Amritsar, Punjab (January 30, 2012): Indian media was reporting since last two months that Pro-Khalistan Sikh leaders, allegedly hiding somewhere in Pakistan, were planning to trigger blasts to halt election process in Punjab.

Punjab Polls: Money, Intoxicants moved freely on final night; Low turnover in Majha – Malwa recorded comparatively high turnover

As per information made available by Election commission (Punjab), at the end of polling at 17:00 hrs Malerkotla and Fridkot constituency recorded maximum poll turnover of 77% where Fatehgarh Churian recorded lowest turnover of 21%.

Punjab Polls 2012: 1880 to contest for 117 assembly seats

Chandigarh, Punjab (January 12, 2012): As per media reports 1,880 candidates have filed their nominations for the 117 seats of the Punjab assembly elections. The polling will be held for all 117 seats on 30th of this month and the counting of votes will take place March 4.
