Chandigarh/ Saharanpur (July 31, 2014): As per media reports Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has urged Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav to personally intervene to ensure compensation for the Sikh families who were affected by recent violence in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur town.

According to media reports the deceased were killed due to police firing. Bhuj, Gujrat (October 12, 2013): It is learnt that the Kutch police has arrested 12 villagers in relation to an attack on a family of Sikh farmers in Bhuj area of Gujrat. “The incident has irked Sikh farmers who are already protesting the state government's decision to freeze their land accounts on the grounds that they are migrants” the Indian Express (IE) writes.

Hyderabad, India (October 07, 2013): It is learnt that the Hyderabad Sikhs protested against the attack on a Sikh Gurudwara Sahib in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh and sacrilege of the sacred Sikh scripture Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji besides attack on Sikh Sewadars by anti-social elements. The miscreants had caused damage to the Sikh Gurdwara Sahib and burnt the Saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji on Saturday (October 05, 2013).
