UK Sikhs are lobbying MPs in Parliament to demand immediate government action against a massive spike in Anti-Sikh hate crimes, a movement accelerated by the tragic fatal stabbing of a 24-year-old Sikh mother in west London.
A recent report by the UK Parliament's Joint Committee on Human Rights (JCHR) has raised serious concerns about transnational repression by over a dozen countries, including India. The report highlights how Indian state actions are targeting individuals and communities in the UK, with the Sikh diaspora being among those most affected.
A new report released by the Joint Committee on Human Rights (JCHR) of the UK Parliament on July 30, 2025, has warned of a rise in transnational repression (TNR) on British soil, with India named among 12 countries allegedly engaged in such practices.

The newly formed Sikh Federation International (SFI) announced that UK parliamentarians will be briefed on Monday, 14 October, regarding transnational repression by India against Sikhs. The Sikh Federation International issued the following written statement in verbatim:
