Mukatsar, Punjab (November 16, 2013): Punjab government’s “helping hands” turns out to be a cruel joke for many Punjab farmers whose crops were damaged by waterlogging. It is learnt that the Punjab government has issued compensation cheques for as less as Rs 3 to several farmers of Doda village in Gidderbaha assembly segment in lieu of the crops damaged due to waterlogging.

New Delhi, India (November 16, 2013): It is learnt that the Congress party has decided to field son of former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar, an accused in November 1984 Sikh carnage related cases, from the South Delhi constituency of Sangam Vihar.
Nankana Sahib, Pakistan (November 16, 2013): A large number of Sikh Yatris from various countries have reportedly arrived in Pakistan to celebrate the 545th Parkash Gurpurb of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji.
Amritsar, Punjab (November 16, 2013): It is learnt that more than two thousand Sikh yatris left for Nankana Sahib in three special trains from Atari Railway station on November 15, 2013. This comprised a 774-member jatha by Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC). These Sikhs shall be taking part in Samagams related to Parkash Gurpurb of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji.
