Peshawar, Pakistan / Jalandhar, Punjab (August 08, 2014):The killing of another Sikh Peshawar sparked protests by the Sikh community in Pakistan. Following the attack, protesters took to the streets and burnt tyres blocking roads including the grand Trunk (GT) road in Peshawar.
Amritsar, Punjab (August 06, 2014): Dal Khalsa today strongly condemned the killing of a Sikh businessman and injuring of other two by unknown gunmen in northwestern city of Pakistan.
As per information the members of the Sikh community in North-West frontier province of Pakistan came under attack on Wednesday (August 06), with one Sikh killed and two others injured in a targeted firing.
Via the Sikh Coalition, Singh released a statement from the hospital. “I am in a great deal of pain, but I will survive. I was attacked because I am a Sikh and because I look like a Sikh," he said. "Justice should be served so that no one else goes through what I have been through. We need to create a world without hate.”
