Faridkot, Punjab (August 24, 2014): According to information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), the arrested Sikh preacher Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal was presented before a local magistrate at Faridkot today after his one day police remand was over. The magistrate commanded Baba Daduwal to judicial custody till September 06.

Amritsar, Punjab (August 24, 2014): According to media reprots the descendants of Baba Jivan Singh have demanded a memorial for him at Gurdwara Sisganj Sahib in Delhi. "We have been urging Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee for the past 15 years to erect a memorial or construct a gate in memory of Baba Jivan Singh, but nobody has heard us so far," chairman, Shaheed Baba Jivan Singh Nishkam Sewa Society, Amrik Singh Shergill, reportedly told media at Amritsar on August 23.

Ludhaina, Punjab (August 23, 2014): It is learnt that all three persons accused in the shoe-hurling incident, in which a shoe was hurled towards Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, have been denied bail. Judicial Magistrate (1st Class) Harjinder Singh refused to grant bail to Vikram Kumar, Mahinder Pal Singh Dangarh and Harvinder Singh.

As per information Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal was today presented before the magistrate after expiration of his police remand. The magistrate granted one day police remand of Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal, while Randhir Singh and Rajinder Singh were sent to Faridkot Jail on Judicial custody.
