Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP from Sangrur has questioned the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) for its silence over distortion of Sikh history by the Hinduva fountainhead Rashtrya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS). Taking to media persons Bhagwant Mann said that why SGPC was not speaking out against distortion of history by the RSS?
Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has urged Government of India's Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj to take up with the Government of Pakistan the issue of opening of the corridor from Dera Baba Nanak to Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib.

Heads of political parties could face criminal action in case a protest by their party turns violent. These are part of the new guidelines for Deputy Commissioners and SSPs in Punjab for giving permission for a function or protests and to take action in case something goes wrong. Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh had asked Home Secretary NS Kalsi to prepare detailed guidelines in the wake of the Amritsar train tragedy.
Over the years we have always seen the double standards of justice system in India. The ruling Governments, security agencies, police etc. are very quick to charge, arrest and punish the persons belonging to minorities, even kill them and their family members in fake encounters but strangely the same Governments, security agencies, police etc. act dumb and blind when it comes to punish the guilty Hindutava forces.
