In a first decision of its kind, a court in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (Nawanshahr) has convicted three Sikh activists under section 121 (Waging War Against the State) and 121A (Preparing to Wage War Against the State) of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded that Amarinder Singh-led Punjab government should immediately release the pending balance amount to the sugarcane growers in the state.
Delhi Police failed to procure prosecution sanction against former Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union president Kanhaiya Kumar and others in the 2016 JNU sedition case.
