Responding to a news report published by the The Tribune newspaper under title: "Border residents rake pride in Balakot, but 'no politics please', Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) president Simranjit Singh Mann has written a letter to the Editor of the English vernacular.
A Sikh taxi driver was reportedly attacked by a man at the taxi rank at Crown Casino in Melbourne. Victim of the attack had to be hospitalised for a broken nose and bruises on his face following a vicious attack while he was doing his job.
On the last day of the month of April, the state of Wisconsin passed a proclamation declaring April as Sikh Awareness & Appreciation Month. On the occasion, Gov. Tony Evers honored the Sikh community of the state by delivering the proclamation to the worshippers of the Sikh [Gurdwara Sahib] of Wisconsin, in Oak Creek.
On 6th May 2019, the in-house committee of the Supreme Court cleared allegations of sex harassment by a former woman employee against Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi. The panel of three judges ruled that there was "no substance" in the allegations.
Expressing agreement with Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) president and a spokesman of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) Manjinder Singh Sirsa’s viewpoint that Rajiv Gandhi was biggest mob lyncher of India, the Dal Khalsa said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was no less big mob lyncher than Rajiv Gandhi.
