Bathinda, Punjab (March 7, 2014): As per reports in media a sitting MLA of the Congress party Jeet Mohinder is all set to join ruling Badal Dal. Local Akali leaders, including the Talwandi Sabo in charge, have reportedly consented to his inclusion in the party.
Senior Congress leaders today held meetings with various party men to convince them into accepting the party’s alliance with the Manpreet Badal-led PPP for the Bathinda seat. An unhappy Jeet Mohinder seems to have parted ways on the issue.
Jeet Mohinder was recently in the news for his role in an alleged multi-crore investment scam.
He was allegedly arrested by the Chandigarh Police but let off when brought to a local police station.
Jeet Mohinder’s proximity with the Badals is no secret. He has always acknowledged Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal as his ‘guru’.
As per The Tribune (TT) [t]alking to The Tribune on the phone, he (Jeet Mohinder) neither denied nor confirmed the development.
“Badal Saheb brought me into politics. I hold him in high esteem. As of now, I am with the Congress. No one knows what happens tomorrow”, he reportedly told.
