Dallas, USA: At least 4 transit officers were killed, 11 shot in downtown Dallas on Thursday by two snipers, during a protest against police shootings in Minnesota and Louisiana, according to AP reports.
The gunfire broke out around 8:45 PM on Thursday, Live TV video showed protesters marching along a street in downtown when the shots erupted and the crowd scattered, seeking cover. Scores of police and security officers were on hand. Police and others hunched behind cars outside a parking garage.

The Dallas police department have released a photograph of the suspect on their twitter handle.
The protesters had gathered after a Minnesota officer on Wednesday fatally shot Philando Castile while he was in a car with a woman and a child in a St. Paul suburb. The aftermath of the shooting was purportedly livestreamed in a widely shared Facebook video.
A statement by Dallas police department reads: “Tonight it appears that two snipers shot ten police officers from elevated positions during the protest/rally. Three officers are deceased, two are in surgery and three are in critical condition. An intensive search for suspects is currently underway. No suspects are in custody at this time.”
