Chandigarh: The agriculture/farming crisis in Punjab has many tails of ruined families of farmers who oped out to end their lives in wake of mounting debt.

Recently an English vernacular published from Chandigarh carried a series of detailed news stories showing plight of the families of farmers who recently ended their life due to their debts.

The newspaper, named The Tribune, published 12 news stories carrying details about farmers’ suicide. Each story carried details of specific cases of farmers’ suicides.
