Jaipur: With the acquittal of Hindutva activist Swami Assemanad in the Ajmer Sharif Blast case that took place on October 11th 2007  by an NIA Court last month on 8th March 2017, comes close to the heels the acquittal of his accomplice and leader of Abhinav Bhart a pro Hindutva outfit Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur along with Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar and Rajendra alias Samander (accused in Samjhauta train blast case), as the NIA here on Monday filed  a closure report in the 2007 Ajmer blast case, giving clean chit to all of the above named suspects.

As reported by the media the Special Public Prosecutor of the agency Ashwani Kumar Sharma reportedly maintained in the court that so far no prima facie case was made out because of lack of evidence against Indresh, Ramesh Venkat Rao Mahalkar, Sadhvi Pragya and Rajendra and they were not wanted for further investigation.

Apparently “Two other accused — Jayanti Bhai alias Ustad and Ramesh Gohil alias Ghanshyam — had died in jail. So, there is no need for any comment or further investigation,” he added to his claim.

Last month (22nd March) Devendra Gupta and Bhavesh Arvind Bhai Patel both active members of the RSS were sentenced to life imprisonment by specila NIA court in connection with the Ajmer Dargah blast case of 2007.

“Two accused — Ramchandra Kalsangar and Suresh Nayak — are being declared absconder by another court after NIA efforts. As and when they will be arrested, NIA will produce them before the court,”  reads a quote from the statement made by Ashwani Sharma in the court, published in The Tribune (TT).
