I can only say Badal Dal and his family; Punjab Government, Punjab Police and the civil Administration are biased against the release of Sikh political prisoners. Expecting recommendation for premature release of Sikh political prisoners from Punjab Government is like expecting milk from a bull.

Executive members from over 18 Gurdwaras and Social Sikh organizations joined this meeting at Hotel Katriya, Hyderabad today.

Jalandhar/Punjab (September 24, 2012): Various Social, Political, Religious and Human Rights Organizations of Punjab have jointly condemned the arrest of Sikh leaders Bhai Kulbir Singh Barapind (President of Akali Dal Panch Pardhani) and Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu (Former President of ADPP). Both leaders were arrested by Punjab police for waging war against the Indian state and notorious “Unlawful Activities (P) Act” was also lashed against them besides various other laws.

Goraya/Phillaur/Ludhiana, Punjab (September 21, 2012): According to latest information Goraya Police produced Bhai Kulbir Singh Barapind in Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Mr. Jatinder Pal Singh's court levelling allegations of serious offences and demanded police remand. CJM has sent Bhai Kulbir Singh on five days police remand.

Ludhiana (September 16, 2012): California Governor Jerry Brown, on September 08, 2012 signed two bills aimed at battling workplace discrimination against Sikhs and Muslim by shunting workers wearing turbans, beards and hijabs to backroom jobs out of public view.
