Bhagwant Mann Resigns From the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as Punjab President

Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party Punjab president Bhagwant Mann today resigned from the post. His resignation came a day after Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal apologised to Shiromani Akali Dal Badal leader Bikram Singh Majithia.

Bhagwant Mann announced his resignation through a Facebook post.

Announcing his decision to resign as Aam Aadmi Party state president, the Sangrur MP said that his fight against drugs Mafia good continue but as an ordinary Punjabi.

His Facebook post read:

ਮੈਂ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਦੇ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਤੀਫ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ …ਪੰਜਾਬ ਚ ਡਰੱਗ ਮਾਫ਼ੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹਰ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਧੱਕੇਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਮੇਰੀ ਜੰਗ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ …ਪਰ ਇੱਕ ਸੱਚਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਤੇ ….
