Punjab is in the grip of severe floods. Districts such as Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Fazilka, and Kapurthala are struggling with widespread inundation, while others including Ropar, Nawanshahr, and Ludhiana remain on the edge of crisis. Continuous rainfall across Punjab and the adjoining hilly states of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir has led to a relentless inflow of water into rivers, their tributaries, and the state’s major dams.

Journalist Mandeep Singh, accompanied by cameraman Gurdial Singh, is on the ground for Sikh Siyasat, reporting from flood-affected regions near the India–Pakistan border in Ferozepur district.
