Journalist fined Rs. 2 Lakh for filing petitions against Sukhbir Badal

Chandigarh: Punjab and Haryana High Court came down heavily yesterday on a litigant who has filed 218 petitions against Punjab deputy CM Sukhbir Badal since 2013.

Justice Mahesh Grover of the High Court condemned the petitioner, journalist Naresh Kumar Sehgal, as a habitual litigant and imposed a fine of Rupees 2,00,000/-. High court also told the registry to take care of any future petition by Naresh Kumar Sehgal.

A news report notes that the High Court was flooded by Naresh Kumar sad girl with his petitions to such an extent that 16 of his cases are coming up for hiring on August 20th.
