Sikh Genocide 1984: 7 New Cases Related to Hondh Chillar Massacre Discovered after 33 years

Chandigarh: As per media reports, the Hondh Chillar Massacre Coordination Committee has discovered seven more cases related to the Hondh Chillar massacre. The Committee said that these cases were identified on the basis of documents presented by the victim families which reveal that those killed during the Hondh Chillar massacre also included Harnam Singh, Harjap Singh, Karmjit Kaur, Harmit Kaur, Surjit Singh and his two sons- Harminder Singh, Gurmukh Singh. The committee said that with discovery the count of known cases of deaths during the Hondh Chillar massacre has reached to 43.

The committee members and the victim families also met Haryana CM’s OSD Capt. Bhupinder Singh and Additional Advocate General Parminder Chauhan to get these newly discovered cases covered under the compensation recommendations of Garg Commission.
