Ontario, Canada: A United States based civil rights and advocacy group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) has announced that it will hold a protest rally during the proposed visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Canada. Narendra Modi is expected to visit the Humber Bay Park Memorial in Toronto to pay tribute to the victims of the 1985 Kanishka bombing on April 15.

SFJ Modi protest posterSFJ legal adviser Gurpatwant Singh Pannu and director for international policy Jatinder Singh Grewal, in a joint press release, said that SFJ will bring hundreds of community members to converge at the memorial site to challenge the alleged labeling of Canadian Sikhs as terrorists.

“We will expose Modi by holding public rallies and Indian government’s organized campaign to tarnish the image of Canadian Sikhs,” said Garewal.
