Marking a significant historical milestone, pro-freedom Sikh organizations today released a comprehensive policy document titled “Khalistan: Sidhant, Virasat Ate Bhavikh” (Khalistan: Principles, Legacy, and Future) at the Akal Takht Sahib.
Dal Khalsa, a pro-freedom Sikh activist group, organized a seminar at Bhai Gurdas Hall, Sri Amritsar on April 29, 2025, to commemorate the 39th anniversary of the historic declaration made by the Panthic Committee, appointed by the Sarbat Khalsa of 1986, on April 29, 1986.

On April 29, 2020, the 34th Khalistan Declaration Day Bhai Daljit Singh issued a written message/statement. The statement issued in Punjabi/Gurmukhi was shared with readers of the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) two days back.
In a written statement the World Sikh Parliament (WSP) has congratulated the global Sikh community on the Khalistan Declaration day. Notably, 29 April is observed as ‘Khalistan Declaration Day’ as on this day in 1986 the Panthic Committee had issued ‘Declaration of Khalistan’.
Sikh leader Bhai Daljit Singh has issued a message on 34th Khalistan Declaration Day. It is notable that a Sarbat Khalsa 1986 appointed Panthic Committee had issued "Declaration of Khalistan" on April 29, 1986.
The World Sikh Parliament that was formed to pursuant a resolution of the Sarbat Khalsa (national gathering) held in the Sikh homeland Punjab in November 2015 has recently recognized April 29th as “Sikh Declaration of Independence Day”.
Amritsar (April 29, 2011): Today is Khalistan Day. The Panthic Committee constituted by the Damdami Taksal this day 25 years ago this day declared Khalistan as a goal of the Sikh Nation from the Akal Takht Sahib. Earlier organizations like the Dal Khalsa, Babbar Khalsa and the Council of Khalistan had adopted Khalistan as their agenda.
