Ravi-Beas Tribunal, led by Justice Vineet Saran, was forced to cancel its scheduled inspection of the Bhakra Management Line in Ropar on Friday. The cancellation followed a massive blockade of the National Highway by the Kirti Kisan Union, who fear the assessment is a precursor to reviving the controversial Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) canal project.
