New York: (August 9, 2012): The visiting Chief Minister of the Indian State of Punjab, Parkash Badal was “Served Personally” with the summons issued by the US District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin in a human rights violation case (12-c-0806). The August 09 Proof of Service signed by Christopher G. Kratochvil, a professional process server from “State Processing Service Inc.”, states that “I personally served on Parkash Singh Badal, Indian Citizen, and CM of Punjab at Oak Creek High School, Wisconsin”.
Washington, August 7, 2012: Dr. Rajwant Singh, Chairman of Sikh Council on Religion and Education (SCORE), condemns the burning of the American flag by individuals in New Delhi protesting the shooting in Wisconsin which led to death of six Sikhs.
“Na ko Hindu, na Musalman” was widely referred by media to highlight distinctiveness of Sikh identity, S. Ajmer Singh told Sikh Siyasat.

New York (August 8, 2012): On August 8, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin issued Summons against visiting Chief Minister of the State of Punjab, Parkash Badal, on the charges of police custodial torture and shielding the Police officers, DGP Sumedh Saini and others who are responsible for the extra judicial killings and continuous human rights violations against the Sikh community in Punjab.
New York (August 8, 2012): Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), a human rights advocacy group which is spearheading a US wide campaign against religious intolerance that resulted in the killing of six Sikhs during a shootout at Wisconsin Sikh temple took a strong exception to the burning of American flag by members of National Akali Dal in New Delhi.
Washington, US (August 08, 2012): As per media reports a former girlfriend of the slain terror striker in Wisconsin Gurdwara shooting that left six Sikhs dead has been arrested and faces charges of possession of illegal weapon.
Ludhiana/Amritsar (August 08, 2012): As per media reports diaspora Sikhs and even some leaders of SGPC and Badal Dal in Punjab have been left wondering that SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar has announced to form a three-member committee to “probe” the firing incident in Wisconsin Sikh Gurdwara in US which claimed life of six Sikhs.

It is notable that the Gurudwara Sahib in Wisconsin witnessed bloodshed few days back as a neo-Nazi white supremacist opened gunfire in Gurudwara sahib. Six Sikhs were killed in this incident.

London (August 06, 2012): The Sikh Federation, a UK based Sikh organization has expressed its shock by the senseless and tragic shooting which has occurred at the Sikh Gurdwara of Wisconsin in Oak Creek near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.
Washington (August 6, 2012): Sikh Council on Religion and Education (SCORE), has expressed shock and grief at the tragic killing of Sikhs in a shooting by a gun man which appears to be an apparent hate crime. At least seven people were shot dead, including a suspected gunman, during a shooting at a Sikh Gurdwara in Wisconsin.
Wisconsin, USA, (August 05, 2012): In a statement issued on August 05, 2012 the Untied Sikhs has strongly condemned the shooting of innocent Sikhs attending a morning prayer service today at a Gurdwara (place of worship) in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek.
Washington, DC (August 05, 2012): Earlier today, a shooting occurred at a Sikh gurdwara in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, that left seven dead and others wounded. Members of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) released the following statements in reaction to this tragic event:
Mark Paul Arabo, President & CEO, Neighborhood Market Association - “On behalf of our 2,000 members and 21,000 employees in CA, AZ, and NV; we offer our deepest and most sincere condolences. We are deeply saddened by the despicable acts of the shooting today at the Wisconsin Sikh temple. We hope the law enforcement community catch these criminals who have caused this pain and justice is served.
Ludhiana (August 06, 2012): Six Sikhs were killed during yesterday's tragic incident of indiscriminate firing by a person in Sikh Temple Gurudwara at Wisconsin, USA. Though the names of deceased are not disclosed by US authorities yet, an NGO named United Sikhs, has posted a list of names of Sikhs killed in the apparent act of US domestic terror.
“The FBI is working closely with the Oak Creek Police Department and other local and federal agencies to investigate today’s shooting incident. This remains an active investigation in its early stages. While the FBI is investigating whether this matter might be an act of domestic terrorism, no motive has been determined at this time. We know our community has been deeply impacted by this incident, and our thoughts are with those affected and particularly with the officer who was wounded in the line of duty to protect others.”
