World Sikh Council – America Region Expresses Solidarity with Bhai Gurbaksh Singh

A press release by World Sikh Council - America Region (WSC-AR) says that the US based body is deeply concerned about the situation developing in Punjab arising out of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa’s efforts to persuade the Indian government to follow the law of the land. Gurbaksh Singh is on a hunger strike since November 14, 2014 to seek release of seven Sikh prisoners who have completed the minimum mandatory terms of their sentences. This is a second time he has gone on an indefinite hunger strike

Ohio, US (August 22, 2013): The World Sikh Council – America Region (WSC-AR) has expressed deep concern at the August 15, 2013 firing by Indian police on Sikhs in New Delhi, India. Reports indicate that more than two dozen Sikhs were injured in the attack by the police.

World Sikh Council (America Region) participated in national scout jamboree

Columbus, Ohio (July 30, 2013): The World Sikh Council – America Region (WSC-AR) participated in the National Scout Jamboree held by the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia from July 15 – July 24, 2013. The National Jamboree is held every 4 years. This year over 40,000 Boy Scouts and 12,000 adult volunteers and organizers participated in the event.

WSC-AR Shocked at USA School Shooting, Calls for Prayers

Current reports indicate that twenty beautiful little children have died, six adults have been killed, and many critically injured.
