Chandigarh/ Punjab (April 07, 2013): According to certain media report the producers of an upcoming Punjabi movie said that the ban imposed on Punjabi film `Sadda Haq` is "not justified" and hampers the creativity of filmmakers.

Seminar Report: Historians did not do justice with the Gahdar Movement

Patiala, Punjab (April 07, 2013): Gadhar Movement was one of the historic movements of early twentieth century. It was started by Indian migrants in America and Canada with a view to oust the British imperial power from India and attain the freedom. More than ninety percent participants to this movement were the Sikhs of Punjab.

New Delhi, India (April 07, 2013): According to certain media reports Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has asked the information and broadcasting ministry to look into the matter that how the Sadda Haq movie was cleared by Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) and send a detailed report.

Some are terming the contemporary period as "Golden era" of Punjabi Cinema. Punjabi music industry is also quite on the boom in terms of money making. Music industry is being considered as an entry point to the Punjabi cinema and most of the famous singers are now engaged in movies.
