Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has ordered an inquiry into the tragic train accident in which dozens were feared dead and injured in Amritsar on Friday evening.
The Punjab Police today announced arrest of two persons who were allegedly imprinting Referendum 2020 marks on walls in Amritsar. Like previous arrests in similar cases this time too the police has made huge claims of "thwarting a major campaign to disturb communal peace and harmony in the state".

The SGPC today called an emergency meeting of the executive committee on October 22. The meeting is called on 72 hours notice after Giani Gurbachan Singh's resignation as SGPC appointed Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib.
