Hondh Chillar Massacre Coordination Committee has discovered seven more cases related to the Hondh Chillar massacre.
A commission that was formed to investigate 1984 Sikh massacre at Hondh Chillar in Haryana has reportedly recommended that an amount of Rs 20 lakh be paid over and above any amount that has been paid to the next of kin of those who had died in the Hondh Chillar massacre.
Victim families of Gurgaon massacre of November 1984 appeared before the Garg Commission in April 30. One member Garg commission was setup by the Haryana Government to probe November 1984 massacre of Sikhs in Gurgaon (Haryana). It is notable that 47 Sikhs were massacred in Gurgaon in November, 1984. The massacre was part of Sikh genocide of 1984.
The Dal Khalsa on Saturday said that the one-man commission constituted by his government on March 5 four years ago to probe into the killings of 32 Sikhs in village Hondh-Chillar has turned out to be a damp squib.
The Justice T.P. Garg Commission, which was appointed to probe the massacre of 32 Sikhs at Hondh Chillar village in Rewari district of Haryana on November 2, 1984 submitted its report to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on March 27.
Hisar: The representatives of Hondh Chillar massacre co-ordination committee said that the Justice T. P. Garg held probe hearing on November 14, 2014. The Garg Commission recorded the statement of retired police officer DSP Ram Bhaj, who was posted as DSP in Narnaul district during November 1984.
Hisar, Haryana: The investigations into Hondh Chillar genocidal massacre of the Sikhs in November 1984 were reportedly stopped as the term of the Garg Commission constituted after 27 years of the massacre has expired. The extended term of Garg commission reportedly expired on 30 September, 2014; as a result the probe that was being conducted in a Hisar court was stopped with immediate effect.
Hisar, Haryana (February 01, 2014): It is learnt that Justice TP Garg, inquiring into the 1984 Sikh carnage in Hondh Chillar village of Rewari (Haryana), has completed first phase of investigation.
Hondh-Chillar/Rewari, Haryana (August 22, 2013): As per information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), the Garg Commission, headed by Justice T.P. Garg, held a hearing related to the Hondh-Chillar Massacre 1984 on August 21, 2013.
Pataudi, Haryana (July 14 2013): It is learnt that nearly 29 years after the Pataudi Sikh Massacre of November 1984, the victims-cum-survivors Jeevni Bai, Shanti Devi and Amrit Kaur filed their affidavits before the Garg Commission on July 13, 2013.
Rewari, Haryana (July 06, 2013): It is learnt that the Justice T.P. Garg commission, that is 'investigating' the Hondh-Chillar Massacre of November 1984, held a hearing on July 05, 2013 that was attended by members of the Hondh Chillar Co-ordination Committee, besides the victims of the Hondh-Chillar Massacre.
Chandigarh/Punjab (November 22, 2012): According to media reprots eight survivors of the Hondh Chillar massacre deposed before the Justice T. P. Garg Commission at Hisar on November 20, 2012.
Pataudi, Haryana (July 28, 2012): While investigation into the Killings of Sikhs at Village Hondh-Chillar has yet to begin and Within days of Justice Garg’s visit to village Hondh-Chillar, All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) and Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) have unearthed another Sikh Genocide site at Haily Mandi - Pataudi, Haryana where more than 28 Sikhs were killed in systematic, organized and well planned attack during November 1984.
Chandigarh (July 27, 2012): A day after Justice Garg’s visit to village Hondh-Chillar, All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) and Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) demanded a three member inquiry commission comprising of High Court Justices to thoroughly investigate the November 1984 genocidal attacks on the Sikh population throughout the Sate of Haryana.
Rewari, Haryana (July 27, 2012): Certian media reports have suggested that Justice T. K. Garg commission has taken serious note of the encroachments over the site of Village Hondh Chillar, a Sikh village in Haryana that was totally destroyed during the Hondh massacre which left half of the Sikh residents of the village massacred.
Chandigarh (July 16, 2012): It has been recently reported in media today the Haryana government extended the scope of the Garg Commission, a single member commission, constituted to inquire into the killing of innocent Sikhs during the Hondh Massacre of Novmeber 1984 at village Hondh Chillar, to cover Pataudi and Gurgaon districts in addition to the area already assigned.
Chandigarh (June 22, 2012): The Survivors of Hondh Chillar demanded that Justice T.P Garg should visit the ruins of Hondh Chillar genocidal site. Justice TP Garg is heading the one man Commission set up the by State of Haryana on March 05, 2011 in response to the discovery of Mass Grave in village Hondh-Chillar, District Rewari wherein several dozen Sikhs were killed and their properties were burnt in November 1984.
