Dal Khalsa organized Punjab Summit 2025 on 21 September in Jalandhar, focusing on three key issues: Human Rights and Fake Encounters, Unchecked Migration in Punjab, and Punjab Floods 2025 – Using Water as a Weapon.
In this summit, Bhai Narien Singh Chaura spoke on the issue of fake encounters in Punjab. He gave a historical perspective, analyzed the current situation, and shared examples of cases where police officials were convicted. He stressed that these convictions prove the truth of what human rights defenders like Jaswant Singh Khalra had exposed about the Indian state’s policy of fake encounters.
Bhai Narien Singh also highlighted the challenges faced in the judicial process and the obstacles in securing justice for victims’ families in these cases.
