Justice (Retd.) Zora Singh joins AAP; MLA Jai Kishan Rodi Leaves Khaira Group, Returns to Party Fold

Chandigarh: Justice (Retd.) Zora Singh who was the head of the commission appointed by Badals to investigate incidents of beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Punjab has formally joined Aam Aadmi Party in the presence of AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, member of parliament Sangrur Bhagwant Mann, Lop Harpal Singh Cheema, MLA Amarjeet Singh Sandhoa, MLA Jai Kishan Singh Rodi and other leaders.
Addressing the media after the joining, Justice Zora Singh said that he chose to join AAP because of its “pro-people policies” and he was impressed with the work done by AAP in the field of education and health. He said that he hopes that he will be able to contribute to make the society a better place to live while working with AAP.
AAP leaders welcoming Zora Singh to part fold
Justice Zora Singh has served in the field of judiciary for 35 years and remained uncontroversial during his service. He was appointed chairman of Haryana Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. The previous Badal govt. gave him responsibility to investigate the cases of desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib happened in Punjab and he submitted the report within 7 months.
While addressing the media Jistice Zora Singh said that he had submitted the detailed report to Badal govt. but no action was taken on that by Badal govt. He said that even the Capt. Amarinder Singh govt. did not bother to take action against Badal in the cases of desecration.
MLA JAI KISHAN RODI RETURNS TO AAP FOLD:
AAP MLA Jai Kishan Singh said that he has sorted out the differences with the leaders and will now work to strengthen the party in state. He said that to aware the people of Punjab about work done by AAP Delhi govt. will be his responsibility so that the people can know about the intentions of AAP.
Welcoming Justice Zora Singh into the party, Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann said that his joining will futher strengthen the party and party will work hard to meet the aspirations of the people of state. Mann said that had the govt. implemented the recommendations of Justice Zora Singh commossion then Parkash Singh Badal, Sukhbir Singh Badal, DGP Sumedh Singh Saini and other people responsible for desecration would have behind the bars today.
