Sikh Historian Bhai Ajmer Singh on Declaration of Khalistan (4 June 2016)

This video was recorded on 4 June 2016 during a discussion on Khalistan Declaration , held at Kisan Bhawan, Chandigarh. The discussion was aimed that furthering the talk about Khalistan Declaration, initiated during the release of journalist Jaspal Singh Sidhu’s book “(Sant Bhindranwale De Ru-B-Ru) June 84 Di Pattarkari” and hold considered debate on this issue. Former Senior Journalist Dalbir Singh was invited to represent the segment that was oppose to the declaration of Khalistan. To represent the militant struggle in favour of Declaration of Khalistan, Bhai Daljeet Singh- who have been the leader of militant Sikh struggle for freedom was invited to present their view point. Journalist Jaspal Singh Sidhu was invited as third speaker to share his experience about the events and scenario of that time and Sikh thinker and historian Bhai Ajmer Singh was invited in view of his work on historiography, analysis and review of the Sikh struggle to present his view point on Declaration of Khalistan. The police crackdown on Sikh leader and activists in wake of 6 June Shaheedi Samagams had its impact on this event too. Bhai Daljeet Singh could not attend this event as he was arrested by the Punjab on intervening night of 3 and 4 June. Therefore this discussion remained incomplete and therefore the recording of the event was not released.
